Book Review Fundraiser
The Immaculate Conception Church Catholic Daughters of America are hosting a book review fundraiser on Wednesday, October 22nd at the historic Haskell House (500 Main Street, Clarion). Doors open at 4:30 pm, the program starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 6:30 pm.
PennWest University President Dr. Jon Anderson will be reviewing “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand, Reverend Harold “Jake” Jacobson will be reviewing “James” by Percival Everett, and Dr. Deborah Sarbin will be reviewing “The God of the Woods” by Liz Moore.
Wine from Deer Creek Winery will be served along with refreshments and there will be raffle baskets. All proceeds benefit Clarion Kindness Project, a local 501(C)3 nonprofit. There will also be a collection box for nonperishable food and hygiene items for the PennWest Clarion Student Resource Room.
The suggested ticket price is a $20.00 donation. Tickets are available by contacting Ann at 814-229-8244. Tickets will also be available at the door.
