Venango County, PA: Bridge Builders Community Foundations is proud to announce the first award of its newly established Technical Career Investment Grant — a reverse scholarship designed to retain engineering talent and grow the economy in Venango County. This innovative fund is aimed at reducing student debt for recent engineering graduates who choose to live and work in the region.

The inaugural recipient of this award is Bryce Fisher, a graduate of Geneva College, who has accepted a position with Matric in Venango County. This grant will directly reduce his college debt, recognizing his commitment to begin his professional engineering career in our local community.

This initiative is a forward-thinking investment in the future of Venango County. With the rising cost of higher education and the increasing demand for skilled workers, the Technical Career Investment Grant serves as a critical economic development tool. It incentivizes both engineers to build their futures here and businesses to invest in attracting talent to Venango County.

“The Technical Career Investment Grant is more than a scholarship—it’s giving a shot in the arm for our local workforce,” said Trenton Moulin, President & CEO of Bridge Builders Community Foundations. “This is a powerful way to support young professionals while strengthening our local companies and economy.”

The fund was made possible by the generosity of a long-time engineer, executive, and business owner with roots in Venango County, who wishes to remain anonymous. This individual recognized the need to create a pipeline for engineering talent and wanted to give back in a way that could create a lasting impact and help the economy.

Bridge Builders invites local businesses, industry leaders, and individuals who care about the future of Venango County to join this visionary effort. Contributions to the Technical Career Investment Grant Fund will help retain more engineers, spur innovation, and contribute to a vibrant, skilled workforce that benefits us all.
