Butler VA Extends “Tech Tuesday’s” to help Veterans with VA’s New Secure Sign-in Process - Feb. 25th

Butler, Pennsylvania — The Butler VA Health Care System is extending their Tech Tuesday event into February to assist Veterans with VA’s new Secure Sign-in process. The next event will be held on Tuesday, February 25, at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, Virtual Health Resource Center, 353 North Duffy Road, Butler PA. During Tech Tuesday’s, VA staff will be available from 9am – 3pm to provide hands-on service to Veterans in creating new sign-in accounts through Login.gov or ID.me.

Veterans requesting assistance are to bring with them: (1) their mobile phone, tablet or laptop to be able to access text codes and email links for completing the online process, (2) 2 primary forms of unexpired government-issued photo ID’s, and (3) 2 alternate forms of ID such as Social Security card, DD-214, or a utility bill in their name.

This event is in response to VA extending the deadline from January 31, 2025, to March 4, 2025, by which Veterans can log in to VA.gov, VA mobile applications and other VA online services using their My HealtheVet username and password. The deadline to switch from DS Logon to ID.me or Login.gov remains Sept. 30, 2025.

Most Veterans are already using Login.gov and ID.me to access My HealtheVet and other VA digital services, but VA will use this additional time to ensure as many Veterans as possible make the switch before the old My HealtheVet username and password system is retired on March 4. Veterans are encouraged to visit Prepare For VA’s Secure Sign-In Changes | Veterans Affairs to learn more.
