Butler VA to Host Beneficiary Travel Education Sessions for Veterans, their Families, and Caregivers

Butler, Pennsylvania — Butler VA Health Care System will be hosting 2 training sessions to educate enrolled and eligible Veterans, their families, and caregivers about filing a claim for Beneficiary Travel reimbursement.

VA Beneficiary Travel reimburses eligible Veterans and caregivers for mileage to and from VA and non-VA authorized appointments. Through this education series, Veterans, their families, and caregivers will learn about the Beneficiary Travel program, eligibility requirements, how to complete and file claims, and the possible reasons a claim might be denied or partially paid. Step-by-step instructions on filing a claim will be provided as well as an opportunity to engage with staff one-on-one following the formal presentation.

“This is a great opportunity to learn about the program and to get instructions on how to complete and file travel claims accurately and timely,” comments Crystal McDaniel, Butler VA Transportation Assistant Supervisor.

The Beneficiary Travel reimbursement education sessions will be offered at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center located at 353 North Duffy Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, in the auditorium on the 2nd floor. Dates and times for the training are:

· Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10am – 11:30am

· Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10am – 11:30am
