CLARION, Pennsylvania: When the spring trees fully unfurl their leaves, birds become harder to see. It’s no wonder our attention turns to the colorful creatures flitting right before our eyes: our native butterflies. Learn more about swallowtails, skippers, monarchs and admirals from enthusiast and educator Dr. Brian Wargo, on June 10, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Clarion Free Library, 644 Main Street, Clarion PA.

Brian is president of the Allegheny Plateau Audubon Society and chair of the Board of the Hawk Migration Association. An expert on hawk watching, he is the author of three books covering a variety of nature-related subjects. He has applied that same enthusiasm and focus to our native butterflies— a perspective all attendees will be sure to appreciate. The program is free and open to the public.
