It will be a Birthday Party 250 Years in the Making as Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts presents a day-long community event of music, history, fellowship, picnicking and dancing on Saturday, July 25 from 5 to 9 PM celebrating 250 years of American Music in an outdoor concert on the lawns of beautiful RiverStone Estate in Foxburg - one of western Pennsylvania’s most scenic settings. Bring a chair. Bring a picnic. Bring the family.
The outdoor celebration begins at 5:00 PM with the stirring sounds of Jonathan Shegog of Carnival of Souls performing a traditional Scottish bagpipe salute recalling the Battle of Fort Duquesne and America’s frontier heritage. The Mountaineer Fifes & Drums follow with music from the Revolutionary War, patriotic favorites, and early American and Appalachian folk traditions.
The opening ceremony will also feature the Presentation of the Colors and The Star-Spangled Banner, performed by gifted 14-year-old vocalist Jacob Long of Parker.
At 6:00 PM, the celebration shifts from remembrance to celebration with three hours of dancing under the summer sky as nationally charting singer, saxophonist and recording artist Erich Cawalla leads The Uptown Band, one of the country’s most versatile and respected live bands. Relax and enjoy - or dance on the lawn to a century of America’s best music from the Great American Songbook through Motown, Soul, Rock, Pop, R&B, and today’s hits.
ARCA is very grateful for the owners of Riverstone Estate, Saji and Shannon Daniel, who have sponsored this concert and generously donated the use of their scenic property for ARCA’s popular outdoor concert.
Admission to the outdoor concert is $20 for adults. Students and children are admitted free.

Gates open at 4:00 PM. Cash or check only at the Gate. Drive-ins are welcome.
Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and coolers. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will also be available for purchase.
Preceding the concert is one of ARCA’s most beloved traditions - ARCA’s Annual Membership Picnic & Pig Roast in RiverStone Estate’s H-Barns that kicks off the festivities at 3:30 PM. It features O’Neil’s Quality Foods’ famous pig roast with all the traditional fixings, birthday cupcakes from Crow’s Cupboard, and complimentary wine and beer. The Annual Membership Picnic & Pig Roast is $25 per person for ARCA members, covering the cost of the meal.
Not a member yet? Anyone joining ARCA by July 20 is welcome to participate in both the members’ picnic and the evening celebration. ARCA memberships begin at $25 to support ARCA’s season of music, art and educational programming and receive member ticket discounts.
The concert and celebration will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, all festivities move indoors to RiverStone Estate’s Olympic-sized arena.
RiverStone Estate is located at 527 Fox View Road, Foxburg, PA 16036.

The Mountaineer Fifes and Drums is in high demand for professional conventions, fife and drum parades and events (called musters), for the Daughters of the American Revolution/Sons of the American Revolution and at historic festivals and national heritage events. During the summer months, the Mountaineer Fifes and Drums perform throughout PA, WV, MD, and VA. Hear their recording on Apple Music. Comprised of West Virginia University students and alumni, the group is directed by Professor George Willis who’s led the ensemble on two study abroad trips to Switzerland for the famous Fasnacht fife and drum festival.
