L to R: Cassy Bolinger, Rich Lenhart, engineer; Mary Kelly, President of Clintonville Borough Sewer & Water Authority; Becky Hedglin, Vice President; Shirley Shellhammer; Terri Riddle, operator; and Judy Stoops, secretary.
Clintonville Borough Sewer & Water Authority held a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 24, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. The authority celebrated the completion of the newly constructed water tower with an onsite ribbon cutting ceremony, just off of Church Street, in Clintonville, PA.
The new 115’ tower, has a capacity of 104,000 gallons that replaced the former 110’ standpipe tower with a capacity of 100,000 gallons. The former tower was put into service approximately 53 years ago on the exact site, using local tank manufacturer, Witherup Fabrication, in 1972
The Authority services approximately 280 water customers, both residential and businesses within the Borough and a portion of Clinton Township. According to project engineer, Rich Lenhart, the new water tower has solved a lingering problem caused by the old water tower. When the water level would drop to a certain level, it would create low water pressure for local customers. Now, with the new tower, that problem is eliminated.
May Kelly, President of Clintonville Borough Sewer & Water Authority, pointed-out that the new tower is kid proof. Local youth can no longer climb the ladder to get to the top of the tower. The water authority feels pretty good about that.
