Daryle Lee Byers, 74, of Karns City, passed away in the comfort of his home Wednesday evening, July 30, 2025.
Daryle was born in Butler on June 4, 1951. He was the son of the late Merle R. and Bessie Mae Maxwell Byers.
He was a 1969 graduate of Karns City Area High School and a member of the Argyle Masonic Lodge # 540 F&AM in Chicora.
Daryle enjoyed hunting, especially with his dad, fishing, watching old westerns, and listening to classic country music.
He retired in 2012 from Indspec in Petrolia following 43 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Ruth Byers, whom he married in Fairview on December 20, 1986. Mrs. Byers passed away on September 5, 2020.
Surviving are two daughters, JoLee Mae Range and her husband, Townsend, of Oliver Springs, TN and Ashley Nichole File and her husband, Curtis, of Bruin; six grandchildren, Summer Elizabeth File and Colton John File, Rebekka Lynn and Andrea Irene Range, and Benjamin Steven and Gavin Todd Pilkay; two sisters, Earla Crawford and her husband, Bill, of Saxonburg and Kay Marlene Uenking and her husband, Thomas, of Chicora, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Rae Pilkay, a brother, Richard A. Byers, and an infant sister, Darla Lou Byers.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Barger, pastor of the Scrubgrass Stone Church and long time family friend, officiating. The interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
