Deborah “Debbie” Jean Myers-Smith of Grand Junction, CO, formerly of Parker, PA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Debbie was the daughter of Don and Poppy Myers. After high school graduation, Debbie obtained her LPN credentials and was employed in the medical field for a period of time. Next, she traveled to Colorado and was one of the first female railroad engineers. She worked many years in that capacity. She also spent time as an EMT during her time in Colorado. When she visited her hometown, a large group of her classmates would always greet her for reminiscing. They always enjoyed their gatherings! She found the love of her life, Steve Lemieux, and he was by her side for the last four years. She was preceded in death by her son Dylan.
Surviving are her mother, Poppy Myers, sister Marcy (Dave) Schlueter, brother Brad Myers, and her niece whom she was so proud of for obtaining her MD, Derika Schlueter. In addition, she has many relatives (Kriebels and Myers) in the western PA area. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
