Get Outside and Do Stuff Scholarship
The Denny Hickman Memorial Scholarship Committee would like you to help them in honoring the memory of Dennis Hickman through sponsorship of the annual Denny Hickman Memorial Golf Scramble.
The scramble will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Spring Valley Golf Course located at 496, Bestwick Road, Mercer, PA 16137. Registration begins at 8:00 AM with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
The cost for a 4 man team is $500 and includes a hot dog lunch, steak dinner and a 6-pack per golfer.
Denny dedicated his life to his family, the forest products industry, and helping others appreciate the outdoors. To continue his legacy, proceeds from this event support the Denny Hickman – Get Outside and Do Stuff Memorial Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to students from Venango and Clarion Counties pursuing careers in natural resource management, forestry, environmental stewardship, wood products, and related fields.
In 2026, the scholarship awarded $4,000 to a deserving student committed to carrying forward the values Denny lived with every day: hard work, responsible stewardship of our natural resources, and a passion for the outdoors.
