Emlenton Pickleball Court in the Making!

Pickleball Court in the making! Although officially invented in 1965, Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Try to even get on a court in the bigger metropolitan areas and it is impossible. This court is located on the corner of Buena Vista and Prospect street in Emlenton across from the Emlenton Splash Park. The court is not yet available to play on as additional work is needed to finish the court. When finished, there will be two pickleball courts and one tennis court which is adjacent to the pickleball court.

Pickleball is kind of a mix of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Paddles are used to hit a plastic “wiffle ball” like object back and forth. The game is scored to eleven and can be played with single players or doubles just as tennis. Stay tuned for details on information about this court and when it will be fully operational.
