Francis (Frank) Eugene Conforti, 84, passed away on May 2, 2025, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born in 1941, Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning a long and dedicated career at Industrial Colloids/Fuchs Lubricants in Emlenton, Pennsylvania. He worked there for over 40 years, retiring at the age of 68.
Frank was a man of many talents. He was a skilled carpenter who found joy in building and fixing things, and he especially loved working on his 1977 Jeep. In 2016, Frank and his wife Shelly relocated from Emlenton to Lake Lure, North Carolina, to be closer to their children and family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shelly, his children, Nicki (Jamie) Jamison, Craig (Melanie) Conforti, 5 grandchildren AJ (Bre) Aaron (Diana), Grant, Emma, and Camilla, 4 great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Everleigh, Maisy, and Canyon as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank is also survived by two sisters, Lisa (Jeff) Zuck of Shippenville, PA; and Chris (Kelly) Kalamajka, of Schenectady, NY.
Frank’s warmth, sense of humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
