FRANK E. BARGER, 92, of Perry Twp., Parker, Pa., passed away early Tuesday morning at Clarion Hospital, surrounded by family members, after being stricken ill at his residence of natural causes.

Born in Callensburg, Pa. On June 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Russell B. And Rhoda Heeter Barger.

On July 21, 1956, he married the former Sally Guntrum, with whom he celebrated their 69th Anniversary just eight days ago. They were married in the former Church of God of Parker. Having a strong Christian belief, Frank was affiliated with Trinity Point Church of God of Clarion.

Leaving high school to join the U.S. Army, Frank was not given a diploma.  A few years ago, he was one of the Veterans to be awarded their graduation diploma at A-C Valley High School in a special ceremony that was authorized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He served from 1953 to 1955 in the U.S. Army with a tour to Korea, where he was awarded the Good Conduct, NDS, United Nations, and Korean Service Medals. He was discharged with the rank of PFC.  This past Memorial Day, he rode with his comrades from Parker to each of the eight services performed to honor the fallen. Dedicated to the American Legion and VFW Posts of Parker, he served sixty years with the VFW.

Frank worked over 32 years for the former Glass Containers Corp. of Parker, and served over fifteen years as a school bus contractor for the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District at Foxburg.

Surviving are his wife Sally of 69 years;  two daughters: Cathy Henry of Parker, and Rhonda (Roger) McCall of Carlton, Pa.; four grandchildren:  Hilary (Shawn) Latshaw, Luke (Kelsey) McCall, Kristen Yeager, and Jessica Henry (Ricky Wright);  two great-grandchildren: Teague Latshaw and Issac Yeager; one sister: Betty Terwint of Sligo, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Russell H. Barger.

VISITATION: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Friday, August 1, 2025, at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So Wayne Ave., Parker, Pa., where a Veteran Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM by VFW and American Legion of Parker. Further visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion, with the funeral and committal services to follow at 11:00 AM at the Church. Frank will be laid to rest in the Callensburg Cemetery, Callensburg, Pa., following the funeral.
