Griffith, Kobielus, Stiers-Royal Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENVILLE, PA — Thiel College Track and Field competitors Brooke Griffith (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) , Nicholas Kobielus (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex Area) and Sha’nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and/or in the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically.

Griffith is from Chicora, PA 16025. Griffith, boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA. She placed 17th at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships in the 3000m steeplechase with a PR of 13:48.98. Her finish was the 50th best in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region. Griffith also brought home the silver at the Dan Kinsey Invitational in the 3000m with a 12:56.26 PR during the indoor season..
