The history of Alcola Park will be presented Monday, July 14th, at 6:30 pm. at the Redbank Valley Historical Society History Center located at 301 Broad Street, New Bethlehem. In the early 1890’s, amusement parks and picnic groves sprang up beside urban trolley lines. Railroads made a suitable substitute in rural Clarion County.

At the Alcola Park the Harvest Home Picnic, Farmers and Merchants Picnic and the Clarion County Fair have provided recreation to our local communities for over 130 years. Come experience learning about the history of the park and share your memories!

Parking is available on Broad Street and in the municipal parking lot behind the building. Admission is free. Donations to support the Redbank Valley Historical Society are appreciated.
