Inspiring 12-Year-Old Piano Prodigy, Amelia Ly Performs Lincoln Hall Concert

For two decades, Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts has established itself as a cultural haven in the scenic river town of Foxburg, bringing to its Steinway in Lincoln Hall world-class piano masters and international competition medalists – from David Allen Wehr, Alex Chien, Cynthia Raim and Barbara Nissman to Sean Chen and Kenny Broberg. ARCA is proud to continue this tradition presenting the profoundly gifted 12-year-old piano prodigy, AMELIA LY on Sunday, November 15, at 2 PM in Lincoln Hall – joined by her 10-year-old brother, Cooper, in a cameo four-hand piano performance.
Amazing audiences with her virtuosity since she was six years old, in January 2026 she performed Beethoven’s second piano concerto with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine under the baton of Maestro Theodore Kuchar.
What makes Amelia truly extraordinary is not only her virtuosity, but also her emotional nuance and mature expressivity with which she has illuminated some of the world’s most iconic stages.
Amelia has performed in Vienna’s Musikverein, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Paris Philharmonic’s Amphitheatre, Beethoven House in Bonn, and New York’s Carnegie Hall, where she has appeared five times. Featured by ABC and NPR News, Amelia has been a first-place winner in numerous international piano competitions.
Amelia arrives in Foxburg fresh from a whirlwind European tour. After receiving a standing ovation in St. Louis on October 18 for her stellar performance of Beethoven’s second piano concerto and the Mozart Double Piano Concerto with world-renowned pianist Dickran Atamian, Amelia flew to Slovenia to record on October 26 the Mozart Double Concerto under the baton of Maestro Dohnányi.
Amelia returns to the US to perform Beethoven’s second piano concerto on November 7 with The Peoria Symphony Orchestra (where she was born) and her Lincoln Hall recital on November 15 featuring a Mozart piano sonata, Bach, Granados, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt.
Amelia’s young artistry is the result of masterful teaching and artistic mentorship as well as parental support and guidance. ARCA explicitly extends this concert to the community to encourage young music students; celebrate regional public school music teachers, independent piano studios, the Rocsato Conservatory and college music programs that develop the talents of western Pennsylvania’s music students; and honor supportive parents who nurture the musical achievements of their children.
Amelia’s concert is FREE for students and children and accompanying adults paying the $20 ARCA member discount. General admission is $25. Buy online at alleghenyriverstone.org or Call 724-659-3153 to reserve - cash/check at the door.
Young musicians are invited to meet Amelia and Cooper after the concert and ask a question of their own. Meet the Artists from 4 to 6 PM at the exhibit opening reception for the 2026 Red Brick Gallery & Gift Shop Holiday Show.
ARCA is grateful for the very generous gifts of Board member Marybeth Hinds-Steffee – and Dr. Charles and Susan Sutherland sponsoring the debut concert of Amelia Ly.
Amelia Ly is presented by arrangement with Jack Price.
Currently residing in Nashville, TN, Amelia’s early foundation was shaped under Prof. Anna Nogaj, former dean of Bradley University’s Piano Preparatory School. In 2022, Amelia began studying at Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music with Dr. Craig Nies, a former student of renowned pianist Mieczys³aw Horszowski at the Curtis Institute of Music—connecting Amelia to a musical lineage extending from Beethoven to Czerny to Chopin.
In November 2024, Amelia made her fifth Carnegie Hall appearance with Orchestra Manhattan and in 2025 at the NJ Festival Orchestra Annual Gala. Beginning in 2026, she will appear with Maestro Gerard Schwarz in all-Beethoven programs and joining legendary pianist Dickran Atamian in Mozart’s Double Piano Concerto at major domestic and international venues.
Deeply committed to community services, Amelia has volunteered at retirement communities since early childhood. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and enjoys dancing, drawing, swimming, and singing in the school choir. Amelia takes part in a public-school gifted program, the Vanderbilt University SAVVY Program for Talented Youth and the American Mensa Club.
