James “Matthew” Bartoe, 55, of the Chicora Medical Center, formerly of Bradys Bend died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 22, 1967, in Butler, he was the son of Kermit L. and Helen K. (Andreassi) Bartoe.
Matt was a 1986 Graduate of East Brady High School and Lenape Vo-Tech where he was enrolled in the auto-mechanic program. Matt worked for Standard Bent Glass for a number of years.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Sons of Italy. Matt had a very creative mind and loved drawing, small woodworking projects, and puzzles. He also loved cats.
Surviving is his mother, Helen Bartoe of Bradys Bend, one sister, Linda Smith of Kittanning, and four brothers, Kermit (Amy) Bartoe of Erie, Timothy (Ann) Bartoe of Vandergrift, Vincent (Michelle) Bartoe of East Brady and Neil Bartoe of Bradys Bend.
Matt is also survived by a very large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kermit Bartoe.
All services for James Matthew Bartoe will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
He will be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
