Jerry L. Harris, Sr., 68, of East Brady passed away Sunday March 26, 2023 at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born September 17, 1954 in Johnstown, PA to the late Lester and Mary Harris.
Jerry worked at Koppers / Indspec Chemical Corporation in Petrolia for 33 years, he also worked at McCutcheon Enterprise as a truck driver, and at Oberg Industries for several years.
He served for 17 years at the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Ambulance Service, and was a lifetime member of the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of the Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club and the Masons Kittanning East Brady Lodge #244.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years Pamela (Febinger) Harris of East Brady; son Jerry Harris Jr. and his wife Lori of Archbald, PA; daughter Melissa Cornett and her husband Aaron of Ridgecrest, CA; 3 grandchildren Kimberly Ring, Blair Cornett, and Emma Harris; brother Danny Harris and his wife Kathy of East Brady; sister Diane Wieland of Chicora; sister Mary Ann Watts and her husband Tim of East Brady; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mary Harris; brother Robert McKee.
Friends will be received on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 30, 2023 in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The interment is in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Chicora.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jerry’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
