Karen S. Rea, 58, of Bruin, passed late Sunday evening, September 25, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh while in the company of her family.
Karen was born in Grove City on January 13, 1964. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Maxine Geibel Bauldoff.
She was a 1983 graduate of Karns City Area High School. She enjoyed cooking, horses and dogs, and most especially the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. “Ronnie” Rea, who passed away in 2003.
Surviving are two children, Joseph P. “Joe” Rea and his wife, Michelle “Shelly” of East Brady and Paula S. Rea (Michael Jordan) of Bruin; three grandchildren, Donovan Timblin and his girlfriend Makensie, Hannah Johns and her husband, Brian, and Dezarae Heginbotham; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Johns and Maverick Timblin, all of East Brady; two brothers and one sister, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Paul DeBacco, pastor of Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating. The interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
