Kindergarten Student Making a Difference This Holiday Season

Meet Beckley Jones! Beckley is a 5 year old kindergarten student at Chicora Elementary who wanted to help make this holiday season extra special to anyone she could help. She has put together a blanket drive for cancer patients to deliver to Allegheny County Memorial Hospital (ACMH) Oncology on December 23.

We are taking donations until December 22. Drop off locations are Chicora Alliance Church in Chicora Pa and Harvest Church in Fairview, Pa.

Our greatest need is gift bags and blankets! We so far have received 33 donated blankets.

Her mother Karissa used to work as a phlebotomist at ACMH and had some personal connections to help assist her plan to help. The holidays can be tough and I seen what an impact a small little gift can do for these amazing patients.

It his her family’s goal to continue doing things every year to teach her the meaning behind giving.
