Knox Caring Cupboard Looking For Local Support

The Knox Caring Cupboard was founded and is operated by the many churches in the Keystone School District.

Nonperishable foods and other necessities are generally provided on a once per month basis on the third Thursday of each month. The cupboard is in the basement of Edenburg Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Knox, where it has been operating since it began sewing the community. Edenburg donates the heated space for the Cupboard. Volunteers from the community assist stocking the shelves, assisting clients pick out their grocery needs, and carry out service is always available.

To continue our mission, we are currently calling on individual community members, churches, charitable organizations, businesses and others to assist with monetary donations. Grocery prices have risen drastically, and food insecurities are becoming a problem for more families. All monies donated are used to purchase food and grocery items for the clients. We spend all funds locally and are able to purchase items in bulk at a discount.

Contributions can be made payable to The Knox Caring Cupboard and mailed to David Rivers, P.O, Box 41 4, Knox, PA 1632. Funds are deposited at the Farmers National Bank, Knox and used on an as needed basis.
