Knox Lions Club Student of The Month

Emma Plummer, a senior at Keystone High School was recently named the Student of The Month for January by the Knox Lions Club. She is pictured above with Lion Bill Black.

While at Keystone, Emma has been involved in multiple sports and clubs. She has been playing volleyball since 7th grade and in her junior and senior year her volleyball teams advanced to the District IX championship. As a junior, her team won the District IX title for the first time in twenty-nine years.

Emma has also participated in track for the first time in her junior year and looks forward to her senior season and trying new events.

Emma is active in the Spanish club, yearbook committee, student government, SPARK club which stands for (spreading positivity and reinforcing kindness).

Emma is active in planning activities for her school which include: dances, pep rallies, teacher appreciation and many others.

Emma enjoys volunteering within her community and has volunteered to work a car wash and also has volunteered for multiple spaghetti and soup sales. While in the National Honor Society Emma volunteered at an ice cream stand at the Venango County Fair.

Emma has been accepted to Thiel, Clarion and Edinboro and is undecided as far as a major and is keeping her options open. She will enroll in a school undecided and get all the required classes out of the way before she makes her decision. Emma plans on graduating with a Bachelor’s degree and find a rewarding career soon after.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys lifeguarding in the summer at Wolf’s Campground, fishing and hanging out with friends in her spare time.
