Lawson & Lyndal Help Local Fireman

Lawson and Lyndal McFadden, of Karns City, have been busy this summer. Probably like most kids, they have enjoyed their days, swimming, riding bikes and just cooling-off in the heat.
When they found out a local fireman, Mike King, of Oneida Valley was injured on duty, they wanted to make a difference.
Lawson 10 and Lyndal 12, quickly transitioned from a summer about themselves to helping others. Lawson who originated the idea, put the idea in motion with his sister after discussing it with their grandparents.
The stand was set up in their grandparents (The Stewarts) yard in Bruin, PA. Together they expanded from just a lemonade stand to selling snow cones and baked goods.
When it was all said and done they youngsters raised $700.25 for Mike King and his family.
