LEGAL NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Perry, Clarion County, Pennsylvania intends to hold a public hearing on February ll, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the Perry Township Municipal Building, located at 5687Doc Walker Rd., Parker, PA 16049. At the hearing, the Board of Supervisors will receive public comment and consider for adoption an ordinance signifying the Board of Supervisors’ intention and desire to organize a municipal authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act, 53 Pa.C.S. § 5601, et seq. Considerations would include the stated purpose to provide for water works, water supply works, and/or water distribution system; the appointment and fixing of the terms of the first members of the board of such authority; the authorization and direction of proper officers of the authority to perform all acts and execute all other documents required or contemplated by the ordinance; the setting forth of, and authorization to execute, articles of incorporation along with all other necessary actions; and the repeal of all inconsistent ordinances or parts thereof. The Board of Supervisors’ regularly scheduled meeting will immediately follow the conclusion of the above public hearing, and at such time the Board of Supervisors will vote upon adoption of the considered ordinance.

The title of the proposed ordinance is:

AN ORDINANCE OF PERRY TOWNSHIP, CLARION COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, SIGNIFYING THE INTENTION AND DESIRE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY TOWNSHIP TO ORGANIZE A MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE MUNICIPALITY AUTHORITIES ACT, 53 Pa.C.S. § 5601, et seq., TO PROVIDE FOR A PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM; APPOINTING AND FIXING THE TERMS OF THE FIRST MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUCH AUTHORITY; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PROPER OFFICERS OF THE AUTHORITY TO PERFORM ALL ACTS AND EXECUTE ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED OR CONTEMPLATED BY THIS ORDINANCE; SETTING FORTH AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION; AUTHORIZING ALL OTHER NECESSARY ACTION; AND REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF.
