The Clarion Conservation District (CCD) and the Clarion County Arts Council (CCAC) are teaming up to hold three events this spring and summer featuring the creative use of repurposed iron oxide pigments collected from local abandoned mine drainage (AMD) treatment systems. The goal of the events is to educate local artists and the local community on AMD pollution and treatment and how the iron oxide pigments that have settled out of the water during treatment can be repurposed safely to create art.
