Emlenton Borough Council President, Barry Louise and Borough Council Member, Amy Whitehill were recognized and honored during the Annual Firemen’s Summer Festival parade on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Honoring Louise and Whitehill were State Senator Scott Hutchin-son and State Representative R. Lee James. The following are the statements from the citations honoring Louise and Whitehill.

Barry Louise Recognized for 53 Years of Service to the Emlenton Community.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives’ Citation

Whereas, The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania is always pleased to acknowledge those individuals who, through their dedicated civic endeavors and professional excellence, contribute to the well-being of their communities and ultimately to all the people of his Commonwealth: and now therefore on this date, July 12, 205, Representative R. Lee James is proud to honor Barry Louise and;

Whereas, Barry Louise is being honored for 53 years of service to Emlenton Borough which includes his time as Council President as well as Assistant Chief of the Emlenton Fire Department and;

Whereas, Barry has been instrumental in many improvement projects for the borough and has used his years of experience and knowledge to mentor newer council members and;

Whereas, Barry has selflessly given back to his community in time and talent to make Emlenton Borough a healthy and safe community to live in and;

Now therefore, the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania pays tribute to Barry Louise for the love of his community and express deep appreciation and respect for a job well done; and offers best wishes for every future success;

And directs that a copy of this citation, sponsored by the Honorable R. Lee James on July 12, 2025 be transmitted to Barry Louise.

Whereas, The Senate of Pennsylvania takes great pleasure in recognizing those citizens who, through dedication and excellence, contribute in a meaningful way to the well-being of their communities and ultimately to all the people of this great Commonwealth; and

Whereas, Amy Whitehill is being honored by the Emlenton Borough Council for thirty years of dedicated service; and

Whereas, A member of the Emlenton Borough Council for the past three decades, Ms. Whitehill has contributed to the borough’s growth through her community partnerships. In addition, she owns and operates Amy’s Closet, Inc., and she is involved with planning the Emlenton Summer Festival. Ms. Whitehill has demon-strated strong dedication to her community and to taking an active part in its progress. She deserves the highest of parise for demonstrating such commitment to the Emlenton region.

Now therefore, the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania congratulates Amy Whitehill upon her richly deserved recognition, affirmatively states that she is a shining example of community spirit whose many contribution are worthy of deep gratitude and respect;
