Nancy Ada Walker Pollock, 83, of Bruin, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at New Haven Court in Butler, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Butler on January 9, 1943, and was the daughter of the late William and Doris Wescott Walker.

She graduated from the former Fairview Township Karns City High School, now Karns City Area High School, in 1960. She married Vernon Pollock, who survives, on August 26, 1961.

Nancy was a lifetime member of the Bruin United Methodist Church, served as a Sunday School teacher for nearly 30 years, and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She took great pride in serving as a Cub Scouts leader and supporting her son, Gary, in Boy Scouts. Nancy was also a dedicated troop leader and mentor for her daughter, Brenda, and the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed taking care of her beautiful flowers both inside and outside her home. She was a great baker and enjoyed cooking for her family. A talented seamstress, she sewed numerous quilts. She and her husband enjoyed traveling across the US and had the opportunity to visit England twice to explore their heritage.

She loved her three grandsons and was looking forward to welcoming her great-granddaughter this summer.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her Daughter, Brenda (Dave) Skidmore of Valencia. Son: Gary (Christine) Pollock of Pittsburgh. Three Grandsons: Braden (Dawn) Skidmore of Butler; Ian (Jenna) Pollock of Pittsburgh; and Darin (Autumn) Skidmore of Butler. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. William M. Walker.

Friends will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker (201 S. Wayne) on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. Friends may also visit from 10 – 11 am on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 11 am, with interment at Bear Creek Cemetery afterward.
