Nancy Lee Gifford, 74, of Petrolia, went to be with the Lord late Friday evening, December 12, 2025, while in the company of her loving family at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Nancy was born in Butler on December 19, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Roberta J. Sutton Bullman.

She was a 1969 graduate of Fairview Twp. Karns City High School and was a member of the Petrolia Presbyterian Church. Nancy was a well-known self-taught florist in the area for many years and was first employed at B & D Florist in Petrolia, later Dean’s Flower Shop in Parker and retired followed more than 20 years of employment with Pam’s Flower Shop in Eau Claire.

Nancy enjoyed crafts, especially wreath making. She served on the Board of Elections in Petrolia where she later became judge of elections. Always looking forward the company of her grandkids, to whom Nancy was affectionately “Gram” or “Midge.”

Nancy is survived by her husband, Larry W. Gifford, whom she married in Emlenton on March 18, 1971. Also surviving is a son, Larry L. Gifford and his wife, Monica, of Cabot and a daughter, Sharon D. Hart and her husband, Clay, of Beaver Falls; two grandchildren, Ethan C . Hart and Hannah Jo Hart, both of Beaver Falls; a brother, Ernest F. Bullman of Tyrone and a sister, Bonnie J. Marzik of Emlenton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene K. Shay, who died in 2025, a brother, Paul E. Bullman, who passed away in 2011, a brother-in-law, Gerald Marzik and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Ernest and Mona Reardon Gifford.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Barger, long-time family friend and pastor of the Scrubgrass Stone Church in Emlenton, officiating. The interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
