After a cold start to the year, the public is warmly invited to the Nature Art Showcase & Sale, taking place February 6–7, 2026, at the Barrow Civic Theatre in Franklin. This annual event will feature inspiring artwork that celebrates the beauty of our natural world and recreational assets of northwest Pennsylvania. Come into the lobby of the warm theatre during Franklin on Ice to view scenes and depictions of places you will want to visit this summer. There is even a special category this year called “On the Wing”.
Among the highlights is Carol Solle’s framed piece, “Owl with Attitude,” alongside many other unique works by talented artists. Attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase original art, making this event a perfect outing for families, friends, and art enthusiasts alike. Come see photography, paintings, woodworking, ceramic and even more unique pieces.
The Nature Art Showcase & Sale is open to everyone, and organizers encourage the community to come together in support of local artists and the appreciation of nature-inspired creativity. The annual event is created by the Council on Greenways & Trails (CGT), a regional nonprofit that works with those that are realizing the value of our natural and outdoor recreational resources and partnering to protect and/or develop those resources for the benefit of our citizens, visitors and increased economic impact. Penn Soil RC&D has once again partnered with CGT to plan and co-host the event. They are a catalyst for community improvement, driving the resources, conservation and development of projects throughout northwest Pennsylvania.
