The Annual American Legion Post 997 is cancelling the 2020 Memorial Day Program and Veteran’s Grave Honors at Salem and surrounding communities that was scheduled for Monday, May 25th.
• Emlenton Borough playground equipment at Hughes Park and Veterans Memorial Triangle will reopen on Friday, May 8, 2020. The sanitation of the equipment will be the responsibility of the user. • Brush curb pick up will end June 1, 2020. Leaf pick up is tentatively scheduled to begin October 5, 2020. • Catch Box replacements and paving on Prospect Street & Campbell Avenue will begin May 7. There will be periodical road closers at the end of Campbell Avenue and Prospect Street between the hours of 8 Am and 4 Pm, May 6 through May 18. Also, on May 18 the paving of Campbell Avenue from Kerr Avenue to Connector Street, and Prospect Street from Walnut to College Street extension will begin. • Emlenton Borough Council has passed the Resolution #440 Property Tax Payment Extension. The Emlenton Borough will be following the Venango County guidelines. 2% Discount will be extended until June 30, face amount will extended until September 30, all taxes paid after September 30 shall be subject to the usual penalties for late payment of taxes. Copies of the ordinance are available at the borough office or from the tax collector.

The Annual Parker High School Alumni Dinner that would have been May 23rd has been cancelled for this year. We regret having to do this but want to make sure everyone is safe at this difficult time. Hope to see you next year.
