Parker VFW / American Legion Memorial Day

Plans are underway for VFW 7073 and American Legion 598 schedule of events.

On Saturday, May 24th, volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM at Parker Presbyterian Cemetery to place flags on Veterans’ graves.

  The Posts encourage Veterans to worship at their church of choice on Sunday the 25th.

 Schedule of Services Monday, May 26th as follows:

             08:00 AM – Assemble at VFW Post

             08:30 AM – Callensburg Honor Roll

             09:00 AM – West Freedom Honor Roll

             09:30 AM – Boat launch – Parker (by river)

             10:00 AM - Leave VFW Post to Eldorado

             10:15 AM – Eldorado Honor Roll

             10:45 AM – Six Points Honor Roll

             11:00 AM – Allegheny Cemetery

             11:25 AM – Lay wreath – Parker

             11:30 AM – Monument at Parker Personal Care

We regret that we are unable to conduct services at many places as we have in the past. We are older and/or have infirmities that prevent us from participating in a thirteen-plus ceremony as in the past.

All Veterans are welcome to join us on the 26th - Uniforms are not required- only a man or woman of Military service.
