Robert C. Crain, Jr. of New Bethlehem, went to be with His Lord and Savior on July 1, 2024.
He was born in Philipsburg on July 12, 1939, and was a son of the late Robert C. Crain, Sr. and Maxine McMonigle Crain.
Bob was the oldest of four children, having one sister, Patricia, and two brothers, Max and Tom.
He had a strong work ethic and worked mostly at Rushton Mining Company, and was Operations Manager of the Woodland Walmart Distribution Center, from which he retired.
Bob was married to his wife, the former Alta Klett, for 65 years and they had three daughters: Cheryl Ryver and her husband, Bob; Debbie Wendland and her husband, Keith, and Bobbi Hamlet and her husband, Boyce.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren with the tenth due in August.
Bob was a devoted Christian and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in New Bethlehem. He dearly loved his family and will be remembered as a jokester, always making people smile.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and visiting with family and everyone he met.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. -– Noon, Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Grace Baptist Church, 605 E. Washington Street, New Bethlehem.
A funeral service will immediately follow in the church with Reverend Robert Ryver and Pastor Curtis Twigg, officiating.
Interment will take place in the Centre United Methodist Cemetery in Osceola Mills, Clearfield County.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given in his memory to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 605 E. Washington Street, New Bethlehem, PA 16242.
