Robert L. “Bob” Cotherman, 76, of Nickleville, Community Rd., Emlenton, went to his eternal home Friday morning, July 25, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.

Robert was born in Oil City on March 18, 1949. He was the son of the late Nelson and Gertrude Milford Cotherman.

He attended school in Knox and graduated from Keystone High School in 1969. Bob was a distinguished U.S. Army veteran and served his country in Vietnam. He was a member of Grace E.C. Church in Ninevah. He had been employed at the Emlenton Limestone Plant and later worked for I.A. Construction at a high lift operator. Bob retired following 35 years of service.

Bob enjoyed hunting, farming, making hay, cutting wood, and tearing down and rebuilding barns.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy O’Neil Cotherman, whom he married in Ninevah on April 8, 1972. Also surviving are three children, Bryan R. Cotherman and his wife, Tina, of Strattanville, Traci J. Fenchak and Valerie L. Exley and her husband, Ryan, all of Nickleville; Bob was affectionately “PaPa” to his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Switzer and his girlfriend, Mandi, of Kossuth, Brodi Switzer and his wife, Ashley, of Winston-Salem, NC, Derik Fenchak and his girlfriend, Chelsea, of Ninevah, and Addyson Exley of Nickleville, and Gaven Boylan and Taylor Switzer; a sister, Deb Kemery of Emlenton, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Roy Kemery.

Friends will be received at the Grace E.C. Church, 2561 Grace Church Road, Knox, from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon Tuesday. A funeral service will follow from the church at Noon with Rev. Michael Will, assistant church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Starr Cemetery, Knox.
