Ronald D. DeBacco, 89, of Karns City (Roseville), died at his home, Tuesday afternoon, December 16, 2025.
Born September 1, 1936, at home in Bradys Bend, he was the son of Paul and Grace (Silverio) DeBacco.
On August 27, 1966, Ron married the former Jane Angert, together they shared 59 years.
A US Army Veteran, Ron served during the Korean Conflict and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. After his discharge, Ron spent his career at Witco, retiring after 30+ years.
He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend, and a member of the Bradys Bend Sons of Italy where he enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Ron coached Little League, Pony League, and softball when his children were younger, and he was an official umpire for many years. Above all, Ron loved being surrounded by his family, friends and granddaughters.
Ron will be remembered for his quick wit, good times and his always ready one liners. “See you in church!”
Surviving is his wife, Jane DeBacco of Roseville, one son, John (Shonna) DeBacco of Ft. Worth, TX, two daughters, Barbie (Eric) Lucas of Roseville, Jennifer (Todd) Lucas of Bradys Bend and five granddaughters, Rachel (Jordan) Cooper, Paige DeBacco, Olivia (fiancé Matt Yough) DeBacco, Cecelia Henry, Carleigh Lucas and six great grandchildren.
Ron is also survived by one sister, Loretta (Fran) Posey, one brother, Louis (Mary) DeBacco, three sisters in law, Susan (Tony) Double, Florence DeBacco, Betty DeBacco and two brothers in law, Donald Angert, Kenneth (Debbie) Angert and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters and four brothers in law.
Friends of Ronald D. DeBacco will be received from 2:00-4:00 PM, 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2025 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Alan Grote, officiating.
Military Honors and Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery will follow.
The DeBacco family suggests that memorials be made in Ron’s name to the Bradys Bend SOI 758 PA-68, East Brady, PA 16028.
