Samuel E. Williams


Samuel E. Williams, 67, of Bruin, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, November 14, 2022 at his home.

Samuel was born in Butler on February 8, 1955. He was the son of the late Delbert E. and Merriel M. Rihel Williams.

He was a 1973 graduate of Karns City Area High School.

Sam had been employed at Witco Chemical, Trinity Industries and O.S.D.P. at Iron Mountain, retiring in 2017. He was a member of the Chicora Alliance Church. Sam was a well-loved volunteer at the Chicora Medical Center where he loved spending time with the residents, families, and staff. He was a favorite patient at the A.H.N. Cancer Institute in Lyndora. He had been an active member of the Friends of The Old Stone House in Slippery Rock.

Sam is survived by his wife, Stacie L. Slaughenhoupt Williams, whom he married in Bruin on October 12, 2002. Also surviving are five children, Jeremy Williams (Alma) of El Paso, TX, Michael Williams (Jennifer) of Panama City, FL, Brandy Harris (William) of Butler, Charles “C.J.” (Chaise) Ryan of Hampton, VA, and Shane Williams of Grove City; 12 grandchildren; his siblings, Chuck Williams of North Washington, Clayton Williams (Tammy) of Fairhaven, VT, Karl Williams of Clintonville, and Melissa Kiaser (Joe) of Butler, and two spoiled cats, “Abby” and “Callie”.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Williams, a granddaughter, Maggie Williams, and his mother-in-law, Ethel Slaughenhoupt.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of Chicora Alliance Church, officiating.
