A call to action to learn about lifestyle changes that you can begin to implement immediately to decrease the risk of Type 2 Diabetes and live a longer, healthier life will be the meeting topic on Friday, March 22nd at Scrubgrass Grange. Presenting the program will be Lana Kunik, Director of the PA Center for Diabetes Prevention and Education.
Statistics show that 2 out of 5 Americans are expected to develop diabetes in their lifetime and 9 out of 10 people do not know how they have prediabetes.
Participants will learn to make achievable and realistic lifestyle changes. They will learn about mindful eating, better food choices, meal prep, incorporating physical activity into daily routine, managing stress and problem solving strategies.
Research shows that eating healthy and increasing activity can cut the risk of Type 2 Diabetes in half! So come join the Venango County Grangers on Friday, March 22nd at 7 PM at the Scrubgrass Grange and learn how to eat healthy and get active.
