Sherwin Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENVILLE, PA— Thiel College Baseball player Cole Sherwin of Karns City, PA (16041) was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically.

Sherwin, a junior data analytics major, is making his first All-District team appearance. He sports a lofty 3.95 GPA and anchored the middle infield at short and had a breakout year at the dish by setting career highs in starts (28), at bats (100), runs (15) hits (32), doubles (eight), RBIs (20) and slugging (.400). He ended the season on a six-game hitting streak with eight RBIs and three extra-base knocks.

Four other members of the team were named to this award as well.

Baseball finished with a 10-9 league-play mark in 2025 and qualified for the PAC Championship Tournament for the second straight season.
