Shirley Cecelia Page (67) of Erie, PA, passed away on July 25, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent in her home surrounded by family and a dear friend.

Born on November 22, 1957, in Erie, PA, Shirley lived in the Greensburg/Jeanette, PA area where she graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic School in 1975. She was an avid swimmer and spent several years as a lifeguard at the pool in Emlenton, PA. Her greatest blessing was her son, Brian Schnell (from a previous marriage), born in 1986. Whether it was high school football or the many achievements during his career in the Army, a prouder mother could not be found. On June 22, 1989, she married the love of her life, Charles (Chuckie) Page. After exploring different parts of the country, they chose to call Erie home.

Known for being “The Crazy Dog Lady,” and her exceptional care of animals (which was only surpassed by the love she had for her two grandchildren), Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving Shirley is her husband, Charles Page of Erie, PA; a son, Brian and spouse Melissa Schnell and their children Madeline and Ivan of Black River, NY. A sister, Kathleen Whitmer, Erie, PA; and a brother, William Bosley of Emlenton, PA and nephew Billy Bosley of Clintonville, PA.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Kathleen Bosley of Jeanette, PA; an Uncle Donald Bosley, also of Jeanette. A beloved Aunt Mable Hallman of Oil City, PA; and a dear brother-in-law, Doug Whitmer (spouse of Kathleen Whitmer), Erie, PA.

In respect of Shirley’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to your local Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
