Shirley J. Renwick

Shirley J. Renwick, 76, of Knox, Salem Twp., Clarion Co., passed away peacefully while in the company of her family Sunday morning, April 14, 2024, at Clarion Hospital.

Shirley was born in Grove City, Mercer Co., on September 12, 1947.  She was the daughter of Alma Jean Berlin Sheesley of Emlenton and the late Harry G. “Hen” Sheesley.

She was a 1965 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School and was employed as a baker at Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe in Erie. In her earlier years, Shirley had attended Old Zion United Methodist Church in Emlenton. She enjoyed baking, reading, traveling, and camping.

In addition to her mother, Shirley is survived by her husband, Edward Renwick, whom she married at Old Zion Church on July 17, 1967. Also surviving are two daughters, Beth Wolf and her husband, Jim, of Erie and Missy Harkness and her wife, Tina, of Comer, GA; two grandchildren, Heather Wolf and Jimmy Wolf, both of Erie; a brother, Kenneth Sheesley of Springfield, VA; two sisters, Viola Larimore and her husband, Denny and Janet Mangel and her husband, Rick, all of Emlenton, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd E. Renwick; two sisters, Delores Ann and Margaret Sue; a brother, Glenn, and a niece, Jena.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 4-7 p.m. Thursday. A memorial service will follow from the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Rev. J. Edward Shreffler, a Free Methodist Pastor, and family member, officiating.
