Theodore C. “Ted” Walker, 86, of Fenelton, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, December 26, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Theodore was born in Butler on March 15, 1939. He was the son of the late Charles C. and Julia A. Weaver Walker.

He attended school in Butler. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran, serving from 1961-1967. From the age of three, Ted was a member of McKee Chapel United Methodist Church in Fenelton, having served the church for many years on various committees and projects. He was a member of Happy Hunters Club in Fenelton for nearly 50 years.

Ted was first employed at Pullman Standard in Butler and retired from Ray Andre Tire in Butler in 2002.

Theodore is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Double Walker, whom he married at McKee Chapel on July 21, 1962. Also surviving are two children, Lynn Marie Walker of Butler and Kevin Scott Walker of Fenelton and his fiancé, Bridgette Cox and her daughter, Shayia; he was affectionately “Pap” to his grandchildren, Marshall Protzman, Destony Walker, Daisy Walker, and Skylar Hartman and his fiancé, Vanessa and her daughter, Aria; his great grandchildren, Landon, Peyton, Adalyn, and Detona; his siblings, David Walker of Slippery Rock, Richard Walker and his wife, Sally, of Butler, James Walker and his wife, Lisa, of Butler, Robert Walker and his wife, Judy, of Cabot, Randy Walker and his wife, Cheri, of Payson, AZ, Madeline Young and her husband, Norman, of Hilliards, and Donna Walker of Butler, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Janice, Joane, Patty, Paul and Gary.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 28 and from 10- 11 a.m. on Monday. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harriet Hutton, pastor of McKee Chapel, officiating. The interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.

Military honors will be accorded by members of the Chicora and Bradys Bend American Legion Posts at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
