William E. Beabout


William E. Beabout, 90, of East Brady died Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024, at ACMH Hospital.

Born April 24, 1934, in East Brady, he was the son of John A. and Maude L. (Reighard) Beabout.

On February 20, 1955, Bill married Deloris Reed. She preceded him in death in 2006.

A proud US Army veteran, Bill served during the Korean Conflict. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Medical Badge. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 488.

Bill began his career at RexHide in East Brady for 20 years then after its closing, spent the rest of his career at Indespec.

Bill was of a Protestant faith. He attended the Baptist Church for many years where he served as a Deacon. In recent years he attended the Presbyterian Church.

Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, harmonica, and singing gospel music. He dearly loved his family and will be remembered as a jokester, always making people smile.

Bill was the last remaining member of the 21 Beabout siblings. He is survived by one daughter, Belinda Parrish, and husband David of Sun City West, AZ, and four sons, Timothy E. Beabout of East Brady, Douglas G. Beabout and wife Cindy of East Brady, Philip A. Beabout and wife Jodie of East Brady, Keith L. Beabout of East Brady, 16 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

Bill is also survived by one daughter-in-law, Jodi Beabout of Elkhart, IN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son Perry Beabout, one daughter-in-law, Pam Beabout, one sister-in-law, Peggy Winslow, 13 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Friends of William E. Beabout were received on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.

Additional visitation was held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church, 102 4th Street, East Brady with Funeral Services held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Raymond Eichler, officiating.

Military Honors and Burial followed in Bradys Bend Cemetery.

The Beabout family suggests that memorials be made in Bill’s name to the East Brady Ambulance, PO Box 325, East Brady, PA 16028, or the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department 100 Graham Street, East Brady, PA 16028.
