Find a passion and pursue it. For Vince and Carrie Forsythe of St. Petersburg that passion over the past sixteen years has been helping those in need, mostly young kids and families afflicted with cancer, Most of the families they do not know, but just want to help. They don’t have to do it, they just do!

This year their annual Snowball Kickball Fundraiser on Valentine’s Day generated a record of over $46,000. Pretty sweet to say the least. The fundraiser over the last sixteen years has helped over thirty families while reeling in over $300,000.
The Forsythe’s will be the first to tell you, “this is a community effort” as Carrie addressed the crowd at the event. “This cannot be done without the help and support of everyone who reaches out and helps make this happen. As Carrie stated at the event, “all the items you see here were donated by individuals and businesses” in our great community. Those items topped over 175 items which were in the Chinese auction and live auction. The live auction alone brought in nearly $16,000.

The money raised at the event will benefit one year old Kohen Dunmire of Franklin who was diagnosed with metastic neuroblastoma; Lucas Henry a seven month old who recently received a bone marrow transplant. Lucas was diagnosed with a rare/life threatening auto immune disorder called Hemophagocytic Lymphhistiocytosis (HLH); and Annabella Cornelius age 14 a freshman at Moniteau High School who was diagnosed with a cancerous non-operable brain tumor in August of 2025.
Part of the proceeds will also go to the Clarion County Shriners and The Boys & Girls Club Along The Allegheny.
