Dean Ira "Fuzzy" Sutton, 71, of Parker Pike, Parker Twp., Butler Co., passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Dean was born in West Sunbury on May 2, 1955. He was the son of the late Ralph and Frances McGregor Sutton.

He attended public school in the Moniteau School District. Dean was a long-time truck driver and had been employed at McCleary Christie Trucking and was a truck driver and equipment foreman for Spangler Brothers Paving. Dean enjoyed wood working, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his faithful companion “Max” at his side. He had an incredible talent for making anyone in the same room with him laugh. He was fond of New Balance shoes, shirts with pockets, and trucker hats. He served as a Parker Twp. Butler Co. supervisor for many years. Dean was well-known among his friends and family for enjoying an ice-cold Pepsi and a Marlboro Slim Select.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Karen L. Slagle, who passed away on October 5, 2017.

He is survived by a son, Chad J. Sutton and his wife, Jeannie, of Barkeyville; a daughter, Charity S. Dimit, and her husband, Jeff, of Slippery Rock. He was affectionately “Granddad, Grandpa, and Tada” to his much-loved grandchildren, Samatha Sutton (Josh), Jackie Sutton, Sara Sutton, and Savannah Gordon. Also surviving is a sister, Mae Noah of Saxonburg; his wife Karen’s son, Tim Slagle and his wife, Machelle, and their children, Tyler W. Slagle, Matthew J. Slagle, and Alyssa M. Slagle, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dean James Sutton; three brothers, Carl Dale and Earl Sutton.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 3. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia. Condolences may be sent by visiting www. hilefh.com
