65th Annual Knox Horsethief Days
In the second section of this issue of The Progress News, you will find the Knox Horsethief news and schedule of events. See who was selected as the citizen of the year and read about the opening of the 50 year old time-capsule that was buried in the Knox Cemetery in 1976. The opening will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
Once opened, the items will be inventoried, and then will be put on display during Horsethief Week in the Five and Dime Building on Main Street, thanks to Bill Henry. And, individuals will be contacted who have items in the Time Capsule.
The Horsethief committee hopes that you take time to attend this special event that was 50 years in the making.
