ACV Students Hold STEM Activities at the Boys & Girls Club Along the Allegheny

On February 25th and 26th, 2026, Mr. Krautbauer and the Chief Science Officers (CSOs) led STEM activities with children at the Boys & Girls Club Along the Allegheny in Emlenton.
The participating CSOs were Cami Colwell, Ivy Black, Jara Batson, Josh Shirey, and Jason Buchanan.
On Wednesday, the CSOs conducted a chemistry demonstration featuring vinegar reactions, a magnet activity focused on balancing and levitation, and another chemistry demonstration where students predicted the heat, color, and size of a reaction.
On Thursday, the CSOs led the children in a shooting game, conducted eggshell strength experiments, and presented a chemistry demonstration that culminated in making elephant toothpaste.
