On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, The Scrubgrass Grange will host a Remake Learning Event titled Flights of Fancy – A Bald Eagle Talk and STEM Night. The event will begin at 6 pm and will include a presentation by Don “Hutch” German, plant manager of the U.S. Steel plant in West Mifflin, PA. The U.S. Steel plant is home to the bald eagle pair Irvin and Claire, and their newly hatched eaglet, currently called USS7.
Following the presentation, participants can participate in some STEM activities related to the bald eagles. For more information about the event, please email sseaton@mail.ocasd.org

The Remake Learning Days festival in Western Pennsylvania is held annually in May and offers a variety of free educational opportunities for learners of all ages. This year, there are over 100 Remake Learning Day events being held across Western Pennsylvania alone, and Scrubgrass Grange is proud to be one of the organizations hosting a Remake Learning Day event.
