Betty Patterson, 85, of Emlenton, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
She was born on September 20, 1940, in Parker to the late Floyd and Jean (Rupert) Johns.
She grew up in Parker but moved to Aliquippa during her teen years. She graduated from Hopewell Memorial High School in 1959. Upon graduating, she moved back to the area.
On March 16, 1973, Betty married Glenn “Jake” Patterson. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1996.
Betty worked for years at the glass plant in Parker. She also worked for many years at the Miller-Rankin Legion Post 636 in Foxburg. She had profound respect and admiration for our Veterans.
She was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church for the past 15 years.
Betty had no children, but she is survived by many dear friends who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly.
Friends will be received from 2- 4 p.m. at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker on Monday, August, 31, 2026, with the funeral to follow at 4 pm. Interment will be in the St. Petersburg Cemetery.
