Please help spread the word and invite others to experience the day. if this will be your first time attending, there has never been a better opportunity to become part of a tradition that continues to grow in impact and community spirit.

A Full Day of Events and Entertainment

The Camo Cares Event Board has been hard at work planning an exciting lineup of activities for all ages and interests. The day’s schedule will include the ever-popular 3D Archery Shoot, archery novelty shoots, and a lively giant raffle.

Two meaningful highlights of the day will be the Legion Riders Presentation and the Heroes Ceremony, where this year’s recipients will be recognized alongside past participants whose lives have been touched by the organization’s mission. These moments serve as a powerful reminder of the difference this community makes when it comes together.

To cap off the celebration, the evening will feature live music from Allegheny Smoke. Guests are welcome to stay for the entire day or join later for the music and festivities, where many relax and enjoy the atmosphere while others dance the night away in celebration of a shared cause. Throughout the day, attendees can also browse and purchase a variety of Camo Cares T-shirts and novelty items—always a popular attraction and another way to support the mission.

A Mission Rooted in Compassion

Camo Cares began in 2010 when a small group of volunteers from Knox, Pennsylvania, set out with a simple but powerful goal: to raise funds to send children with serious health challenges on their dream hunt or outdoor adventure. That first year, the organization hoped to raise enough to support a single child. Instead, the community rallied and helped raise $20,000—far surpassing expectations.

By 201 2, still operating with no paid employees, Camo Cares had raised $90,000 and expanded its mission to include sponsoring hunts for wounded military veterans. Since then, the organization has grown tremendously while remaining entirely volunteer-driven.

Today, Camo Cares proudly reports more than $2 million raised since its founding. Between 2010 and 2024 alone, over $1.9 million funded approximately 500 hunts and outdoor adventures for children and veterans. Remarkably, 100 percent of the proceeds go directly toward making these experiences possible.

Camo Cares remains one of the regi0n’s most successful and heartfelt community fundraisers, powered entirely by volunteers and the generosity of supporters. Registration for the Archery Shoot will open in mid-April and will be available on the organization’s website.
