Clarion River Clean-Ups

(Clarion County, PA) – There are two upcoming Clarion River clean-ups taking place locally in September. The first one will be on Saturday, September 21st from 9:00am to 12:00 pm at the Pale Whale Canoe Fleet (115 Riverside Dr, Cooksburg, PA). Join the Friends of Cook Forest State Park and the Clarion Conservation District as we float down a 4-mile stretch of the Clarion River and pick up trash as we go. Canoes, paddles, life jackets, and trash bags will be provided. Please bring gloves and be dressed for the weather and river. No registration required for this event.

The second event will be a River & Roadside Clean-up held on Saturday, September 28th from 10:00am to 12:30pm at the Toby Boat Launch (Firemans Rd. & N Fifth Ave. Clarion, PA). Join the

Clarion Conservation District in celebrating World Rivers Day by keeping our beautiful Clarion River trash free. Kick-start your Autumn Leaf Festival festivities by getting outdoors and making your community cleaner, greener, and more beautiful! Gloves, vests, and bags provided. Free t-shirts while supplies last. Bring your own canoe/kayak - limited amount available to borrow. Hangout afterwards at the Clarion River Brewing Company and get a discount!
