Cynthia L. Waldroup


Cynthia L. Waldroup, 70, of East Brady, passed away peacefully while in the company of her family on Sunday evening, November 12, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Cynthia was born in Butler on November 29, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Betty Margaret Greenawalt Reighard.

She was a graduate of East Brady High School.

Cindy was a devoted homemaker and a long-time active member of the Criswell Bible Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was found in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Cindy looked forward to family vacations at the Outer Banks.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald M. Waldroup, who passed away on October 18, 2023.

She is survived by three sons, R. Mark Waldroup and his wife, Patricia, of Cabot, Todd E. Waldroup and his wife, Brandy L., of Fenelton, and Matthew S. Waldroup and his wife, Kristy, of Rochester; her grandchildren, Jacob and Gabrielle Waldroup, and Marissa Healy and her husband, Todd, Morgan Christman and her husband, Thomas, and Mitchell and Liam Waldroup; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Mya; a brother, Robert James Reighard and his wife, Dang, of Texas; a sister, Katherine Diane McCaslin and her husband, John, of Poland, OH; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and Charles Stowe, Emma Waldroup, and Marjorie Waldroup, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a number of brothers-in-law.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, from the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, 127 Crisswell Rd., Karns City, with pastor, Paul DeBacco, officiating.
